Neil will remain off the air until the election Nov. 2, and he blames Howard for "forcing" him off the show that covers college and national sports.
Howard said it was the station that first raised the equal time issue.
Her campaign said she would have been satisfied with free radio ads and transcripts Eddie Royalof Neil's show along with an option to re-evaluate the agreement at any time if Neil talked about politics or his campaign during the show, but the station decided to keep him off the air instead.
"Their (the station's) biggest concern was getting through the football season," Neil said Tuesday, adding that Howard's condition of being able to re-evaluate the agreement was not something the station was willing to accept.
Howard said since she is not a sports commentator, her Brian Dawkins campaign researched similar agreements that would level the playing field.
"I was never looking to have him off the air," Howard said.
But Neil said Howard's demands forced him out.
While Neil would not be allowed to talk about his campaign or politics during
Champ Bailey the sports show, Howard would have free political campaign ads aired. Neil said he would not have minded the ads or the transcripts, but felt that Howard's being able to change the deal at any point was too much.
Entering last year, Prater managed just 26 makes on 38 field goal attempts in his first three years. He made gains mainly in the 40-49 range last year (80.0 connection percentage); however, he managed just six of 14 makes in the previous three years.
The
Denver Broncos jerseys had everyone's attention when they started the season 6-0 after head coach Josh McDaniels traded away quarterback Jay Cutler to Chicago and started the year with Kyle Orton. Unfortunately for the Broncos their luck didn't last long, as they lost their eight of their final ten games to finish the year at 8-8. This offseason McDaniels has traded away star wide receiver Brandon Marshall, and then made a very bold move trading up for Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in the first round of the draft. With that here is a look at what the Denver Broncos will bring to the table on both sides of the ball in 2010, plus my prediction on where they finish the year in the AFC West.
